Gil R. Prado, Executive Director Fulton Industrial BID
Gil R. Prado currently serves as the Executive Director of The Boulevard Improvement District (BID) in Atlanta, GA. Gil leads all aspects related to managing the BID organization and handles all efforts related to the revitalization of the Fulton Industrial District through a multi-point approach, focused on public safety, transportation and transit infrastructure improvements, landscaping and beautification, redevelopment and economic development.
Prior to joining the CID, Gil has held positions in the private, non-profit and public sectors and he has over 15 years of interrelated experience in real estate, urban planning, economic development and business management. Gil earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) and his Masters of Arts in Historic Preservation from SCAD (Savannah College of Arts and Design). Gil holds the AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) and the LEED Green Associate credentials.
Frank Mazzilli, Public Safety Manager
Since January 1, 2013, Mr. Mazzilli has been employed by the Boulevard Community Improvement District as the Public Safety Manager (PSM). Since Mr. Mazzilli began his employment as PSM, he has built solid relationships between the CID, numerous Fulton County agencies, and the business community. Mr. Mazzilli has planned, implemented, managed, and budgeted a CID Police Patrol, consisting of 30 Fulton County Police Officers of various ranks that has effectively reduced crime. He has authored and distributed quarterly Public Safety Bulletins to the business community. He has given presentations at public safety meetings and has conducted security surveys of facilities. Mr. Mazzilli effectively acts as a liaison between CID members and Fulton County agencies in order to make the district a safer environment.
Mr. Mazzilli spent 30 years in law enforcement, serving approximately 28 of those years with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). While with the DEA, he served in a number of executive level positions including Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Atlanta Field pision. Mr. Mazzilli also served approximately 3 years as a New York City Police Officer. During his government career, Mr. Mazzilli has conducted a vast array of large scale domestic and international investigations, and managed numerous personnel. His experience includes: investigating organized crime; drug distributing and smuggling conspiracies; narco-terrorism; money laundering; auditing; and employee wrongdoing and criminality; employee background investigations; managing multi-million dollar budgets and formulating policies and procedures. Mr. Mazzilli received a Bachelor’s degree from Herbert H. Lehman College, City University of New York. While working for DEA, he attended Duke University/Fugua School of Business-Innovative Leadership, and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar. He is a graduate of many specialized programs through the DEA. Mr. Mazzilli has received numerous DEA performance awards, commendations and letters from local and federal agencies, and U.S. Attorneys.
